Karson was blessed on Sunday January 2, 2011. What a special day Grandpa Tom gave Karson a wonderful blessing. He looked so cute in his blessing outfit. It was pretty special. He wore great uncle Dons blessing outfit. I am so blessed and happy to have my dad hold the priesthood in our family.

Where should I start??? It seems as though these last 3 months have been as busy as ever. Since we heard of our new grandbaby coming in October we were busy all summer with moving Brooklyn into Shianne's room down stairs and finishing Ryan's room (Yea all the rooms are finally finished in our home). We moved Shianne upstairs where the 2 bedrooms are close so she could have a baby nursery and we could help her if needed. Shianne's due date was October 28th so we had our fingers crossed that we could attend Don and Brienne's wedding without any complications, btw their wedding turned out great, they were married on October 4th. I was happy that Shianne did not go into labor however that week returning back to work I got a phone call on October 7th from her that her back was hurting. I rushed home on my lunch break to see that she was hunched over on my bed in pain. I thought ok lets go back to the hospital where I just left ha ha ( I work at Davis Hospital). Shianne gave birth on October 8th at 3:27am to Karson David Turner 7lb1oz, I was so proud of her.What a blessing to have the both of them in our home. I am happy I can help her out with her finishing her high school. She is a great mother!

Camping at South Fork

We went with Don and Brienne to South Fork we had a great time tubing down the river. We cooked dutch oven meals and enjoyed our little weekend getaway. I love camping too bad we are selling our trailer this year. I think we just might have to be real campers and sleep in the tent next time. Thanks Don and Brienne for the fun family memories. We need to go more often!

We enjoyed our stay in Glenwood. It was nice seeing Brett and his family. It is 4 hours away from Clearfield so anytime we can get away. I would have to say Glenwood here we come. Brett definatly had us eating like Kings and Queens with his great BBQ. His smoked ribs were awesome!

We rented this bike at bear lake. It was fun riding along the roades however it was quite the workout especially if the other kids aren't pedaling.

I was very impressed with all of the activites the Koa campsite had. The kids had fun with free miniture golf, bouncing pillow, hay rides, train rides, swimming and not to mention the lake was across the road from where we camped.

We had a fun family vacation at Bear Lake in June. We went with Jeff's family we stayed at the Koa. The weather was good we had fun swimming and riding in the canoe, however it scared the hell out of me. I was afraid it was going to tip over but I guess that is the good thing about life jackets.

Ryan loved playing machine pitch baseball this year on the Angels. He could really hit the ball out there to 2nd base. I was amazed! I told Jeff he should sign up to be a coach next year. I think Ryan enjoyes baseball more than soccer whatever sport he likes its always fun for our family to go watch.

Jeff and Brooklyn had a daddy daughter date at the church for Brooklyn's activity days. I had fun getting Brooklyn ready for her date she was so excited! They had a prime rib dinner, danced and had a great evening.

We had a nice BBQ Birthday for Dad he was so excited. I was happy that everyone could come Brett,Melanie and kids came up from Richfield. Its not very often that our whole family can all make it to functions so it turned out to be the perfect Sunday afternoon. I think dad was proud to know that we surprised him with the party. It seems like we are always having birthday parties for the kids. I am happy that we could plan this for him.

We had a fun Easter Sunday on April 5,2010. We watched the first session of confernce then went over to Aunt Stephanies for an easter egg hunt and dinner. Its always a great time for the kids. They love and cant ever get enough of the candy!

Since Shianne has had her surgery at Primary Childrens Hospital, she has not had any migraines everything seems to be going well. Her next follow up dr appointment is in July with her cardiologist Dr Grey.

Janurary 4,2010 PFO closure

Alot has been going on in 2010 on January 4th Shianne had her pfo closed. For those of you who do not know what a pfo is it is a hole in the heart. We had no idea Shianne had this. I guess she was born with it who would have ever known? She has always been such an active child with tumbling, cheerleading and dancing. It was last fall during football season that she had told me she was having shortness of breath and felt dizzy at practice where she felt like she was going to pass out. I made a dr appointment they did a MRI scan and an echocardiogram with bubble. Sure enough there was a significant hole in her heart wich was causing lack of oxygen to her brain. Her mri revealed white matter on her brain which showed up as mini strokes. It was so shocking to our family where you think your child is so healthy and then this comes up? She now has a device in her heart that seals the hole off she is taking adult aspirin to prevent any blood clots for 6 months.

We had a fun day ice skating at the Ogden Ice sheet other than my ankles or should I say kankles kill! lol I tried to talk Jeff and Shianne into going but Jeff remembers the last torture of ice skating a couple of years ago. Shianne had a cheer practice and was pretty worn out from running and practicing there cheer comp routine. I must say ice skating is a great work out! Brooklyn and Ryan want to take ice skating lessons. I think that it would be a fun activity to watch them learn to skate backwards and learn the twirls. We had a great day today.

We had fun at Davis Hospital Fall party at Black Island farms. The kids got to pick pumkins,go on slides,see the animals, and we went through the corn maze. I wish we all could have went but Shianne had her cheer practice that night. I love fall it's my favorite!

Syracuse Homecoming 2009

I cant believe Shianne is already going to homecoming. I feel so old sending my baby on her first group date. She had a wonderful time with her group they went to Roosters (in a limo) let me remind you I have never even rode in a limo! They had a fun time dancing the night away at Homecoming. I cant believe my Hubby is over the Hill! Ha-Ha We had a fun surprise Birthday for Jeff and Greg. I told Jeff we were going to Golden Coral and stopped by the LaQuinta Inn. Me and Tara had arranged to meet at the same time. About 45 family and friends surprised them in the banquet room. We had Famous Dave's catered which turned out great since the twin birthday boys love any kind of meat. The kids had a fun time swimming in the pool. Happy Birthday!

We had a fun time at Toads. It was my work party for Wee Care Pediatrics. There was plenty of fun for the whole family. Go cart racing and yes Me and Ryan came in first not according to Shianne and Brooklyn though. Jeff and Ryan had fun playing Lazer Tag while me Shianne and Brooklyn won 720 tickets playing games. Miniature Golfing was great. Ryan says he wants to have his next Birthday Party there.

We have a busy year ahead of us Shianne made it for Syracuse High School Cheer. We are pretty excited for her. She has worked very hard to make it.I cant be more impressed than having a 3.8 gpa student. I cant wait to watch her cheer at all of the games not to mention Syracuse went to state last year in football! yea! I am totally a cheer mom all the way!

We went to the Hogle Zoo for Ryans Kindergarten field trip. I had a fun time being the kids chaperon and seeing all of the fun animals. I took my group of kids on the train ride they really enjoyed that. I was in charge of 5 kids it wasn't to bad other than Ryan was so interested in seeing the snakes which freaks me out! I must mention my husband did catch him a garter snake which I think that is why he is so interested in them. I was a little sad knowing that this is my last time going on a kindergarten field trip. I went with Shianne and Brooklyn to the zoo when they were in kindergarten. I guess I better enjoy all the memories of each child since it goes by so fast. It turned out to be a fun filled day at the Zoo!

Brooklyn had her 4th grade Utah County Fair. Her county was on Tooele. Jeff helped her make her float it turned out great they made it out of a shoe box and glued rock salt on the top of the box and glued on matchbox cars like the saltflats. They also created Utah tree to go on the top. I really enjoyed going and watching her perform it reminded me so much of when I was in 4th grade. I dressed her up like a piute Indian she looked cute with her 2 braids. It has been fun listening to her sing the Beaver,Carbon,Davis,Morgan,Daggitt,Millard and Duschene song.

Easter 2009

I am finally getting to update our blog on our fun Easter weekend. I did have to work on Saturday morning in the ER but when I got off at 6pm I hurried home because I knew the kids were waiting for me. They were very anxious to color the Easter eggs. This year we tried glitter eggs they turned out pretty. I enjoy trying new types of eggs each year. On Easter morning the kids woke up around 7:30am to find there Easter baskets. Jeff made us an Easter breakfast and we got ready to go to Grandma Susans Easter picnic at the park at 1pm. I really wanted to take the kids to church that day in there Easter dresses but our church started at 1pm and the party started at the same time. It turned out to be a nice warm day. I really enjoy this time of year with Spring and all of the flowers blooming.

The tooth fairy came the next morning and brought Ryan $3.00. He was pretty darn excited! 1 week later he lost the other bottom tooth that must have been a pretty strong bite towards the apple. He sure likes the feeling of sticking his tongue through the opening of his teeth.

The weekend of February 8th we were very busy with Brooklyn's Birthday. On Friday we had all of her friends sleep over. What an experience that was for us not getting any sleep. We did have fun having pizza,movies, and kareoke! On Saturday all of my family came up and had dinner including Dee and JoAnna's 1 week baby Anthony Devere Smolka. He is so cute! he looks alot like Dee. That was a fun Birthday present for Brooklyn just being able to hold her new baby cousin.

Every Christmas Eve we go to Grandma Susans house. The kids are always so excited because santa comes and gives them gifts. They always get Christmas pajamas,and lots of presents.(I think she over does it but the kids love it!) On Christmas day my mom and dad like to come up and see our family. I always make a Christmas breakfast. We have fun holiday memories.

It is January 18,2009. I have finally decided to create us a Turner Family Blog. This is going to be a great way for us to keep track of our family events. It seems like the days fly by way to fast!On September 24,2008 We went on our first family trip to Disneyland. It was so much fun to see the kids reaction to the Magical Kingdom. We also went to Huntington Beach. I absolutely love the Ocean it is so beautiful. We took a lot of great pictures. What a fun memory!
